AbeBooks is an online bookstore offering its customers an incredibly wide selection of new, used, rare and out-of-print books of all types and genres as well as lots of textbooks. It is currently owned by AbeBooks, Inc., which is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. (acquired in 2008).

AbeBooks is headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and has a regional European office in Dusseldorf, Germany. The company was founded a fairly long time ago – back in 1995. Several years after that, the United Nations claimed AbeBooks to be one of the world’s leading ecommerce companies.
